Casting Changes

Due to friendship issues between the two actors I had chosen, I have now got to find two new actors. This means I need to redo the filming I have already done as well.

Editing

I have now edited the first part of my main task successfully.

Editing

I have now imported my clips from the camera onto iMovies, then onto Final Express. I am now ready to start editing.

Infatuation

I have decided to take out the street scene as the camera I am using doesn't work very well in low light conditions.

Filming

I have started the first part of my filming for my main task. This is now ready to upload to the imacs and start editing the first part of my horror opening.

Location Planning

Interior: Mia's mum's stairway/bedroom

• Lighting - This will be very good because the scene inside will be recorded in daylight, and also if the lighting is to dim then I could use lights inside as well.
• Space - There wont be a lot of space in the stairway and bedroom but there will be enough to fit the actors and tripod with the camera in it.
• Sound - I am thinking of adding some sound in this scene, possibly some sound effects such as throwing of chairs etc.

Exterior: an empty street

• Lighting - I am planning on filming a scene in a street. This scene will involve Mia's mum and Damien arguing. I think this is a good idea as it will show the emotions they are going through as it will be quite dark. On the other hand, the camera may not be able to show anyone or anything clearly as it will be dark and the picture will be a bit grainy.
• Space - There will be a lot of space for this to be filmed but I'm worried about the camera being quite shaky whilst I am filming as I would like to use some panning shots outside to follow the actors with.
• Sound - I think the sound will be fine with this scene as I don't want any diagetic sound in opening.

Interior: a basement

• Lighting - I am a bit worried about this scene as I want light in this scene but only around the actor. This might not give a very clear picture though.
• Space - I think the space will be okay in this scene as the basement will be quite big and roomy so there will be enough space for the tripod and camera.
• Sound - I want to add sound into this scene, for example, when Damien is sharpening his pencil with his knife, I would like to add some sound effects to that.

• Kind hearted but a bit feisty in arguments
• Aged 21

Damien: Brad Mayhew

• Gentle but with a short temper which shows his aggressive side
• Aged 22

I chose Andreia and Brad because they seem very confident around me so I think they would be very good actors when I use them in the filming.
